Job Summary
Conduct annual financial aid file reviews for client institutions, assessing student records to ensure compliance with Title IV regulations. Respond to institutional inquiries regarding regulatory requirements, perform verification reviews, and calculate Return to Title IV (R2T4) processes. Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex regulatory questions and contribute to internal documentation and standard operating procedures. Work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with hours aligned to the Eastern Time zone. Occasional travel to client sites or conferences is required.
Required Qualifications
- Financial aid professional with strong Title IV compliance and processing experience
- Currently working in a college, university, career school, trade school, or financial aid consulting environment
- Hands-on experience in financial aid administration within a college, university, career school, or trade school environment
- Worked with Title IV programs
- Understanding of processes such as awarding, packaging, verification, and Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculations
- Comfortable reviewing student files
- Ensuring financial aid practices meet federal compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of Title IV funding programs
- Understanding of the regulatory framework that governs federal student aid
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance
- Ability to apply regulatory guidance in operational settings
- Comfortable reviewing financial aid files
- Ability to identify potential compliance risks
- Ability to provide practical guidance to support compliant operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with financial aid systems
- Experience working with case management tools
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to explain complex regulatory information in practical terms
- Responsiveness
