Job Summary
Financial Aid Compliance & Processing Specialist responsible for managing and processing financial aid documentation for students, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations; evaluating applications; guiding students on available financial resources; interfacing with departments to resolve issues; monitoring FAFSA/ISIR submissions, verification, and loan counseling; ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely disbursement of funds; providing ongoing support to students and families while staying current with financial aid rules and policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Financial Aid experience
- College level coursework in accounting, finance, or related field
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn financial aid software
- Exceptional organizational and attention to detail
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Not in default on federal student loans
- Willingness to work outside scheduled hours as needed by supervisor
