Job Summary
Evaluate applicants' financial health by reviewing income, assets, debts, expenses, and credit reports to calculate monthly disposable income accurately. Engage empathetically with beneficiaries during information-gathering and feedback phases, then formulate objective grant proposals for weekly Case and Admissions Committee presentations. Partner with Social Workers to integrate qualitative factors into holistic decisions, maintain accurate electronic records, and administer end-to-end grant renewals. Proactively monitor shifts in beneficiaries' circumstances to recommend assistance plan adjustments and assist with ad-hoc welfare data projects. Monday to Thursday 8:30–16:30, with a 14:30 Friday finish; hybrid work available post-training. Six-month fixed-duration contract at R35,000 per month.
Required Qualifications
- Proven working experience in a Financial Analyst, Financial Advisor, Credit Analyst, Personal Finance, or Debt Counsellor role
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex personal financial information and reconstruct personal income statements and balance sheets
- Strong interpersonal skills paired with a highly developed level of emotional intelligence (EQ), resilience, and maturity
- Proven capability to manage conflict and navigate difficult or sensitive communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong IT literacy and adaptability
- Credit and criminal clear
Desired Qualifications
- A B.Com degree with a financial or closely related major
