Job Summary
Temporary, full-time Financial Aid Advisor role responsible for providing personalized financial aid counseling to prospective, current, and former students across federal, state, institutional, and private funding sources. Serves as primary point of contact for high-volume inquiries via phone, email, and virtual appointments; manages the financial aid pipeline from application through awarding and disbursement; generates reports and analyzes timelines to improve funding outcomes; collaborates cross-functionally with admissions, student accounts, registrar, and other departments to ensure regulatory compliance and improve processes; supports scholarship program administration and external agency coordination; maintains knowledge of federal, state, and institutional policies and supports ongoing process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, communication, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in student financial aid, higher education administration, lending/finance, or related field
- Experience with federal student loan administration, scholarship administration, and borrower counseling is strongly preferred
