Financial Aid Advisor

Financial Aid Advisor at Ivy Tech Evansville is responsible for verifying, packaging, awarding and disbursing financial aid, and providing general financial aid counseling to students. Duties include advising students in person, by phone and email; verifying financial aid files; administering federal campus-based aid programs (including the Federal Work-Study Program and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant); assisting with Veteran’s Benefits as they relate to financial aid; and conducting outreach to current and prospective students in the local community. Requires collaboration with others and adherence to federal and state guidelines. The role emphasizes helping students navigate financial aid processes and ensuring accurate awarding and follow-up on payments, within typical business hours and peak times.
