Job Summary
Advise and assist current and prospective students with all aspects of financial aid, including accurately packaging and awarding aid. Counsel students and parents on financial aid packages, direct them to appropriate departments, and efficiently complete FAFSA and Stafford loan applications. Review financial aid packages with students, verify ISIR accuracy, and package awards in the SCT Banner system. Track student awards to ensure timely fund receipt and follow up on missing information while adhering to Federal and State guidelines. Prepare weekly reports on application status. Requires availability for day, evening, and weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail
- A combination of day, evening and weekend hours
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of SCT Banner
- Knowledge of Title IV
- Knowledge of NYS Financial Aid Programs
