Job Summary
Analyze company financial information, develop financial models, and lead workstreams on debt and equity financings, M&A, recapitalization, valuations, and restructuring assignments. Execute high-quality work products in high-pressure, client-critical situations across industries including industrials, software, and manufacturing. Manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously while obtaining required SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses. This Chicago-based hybrid role offers exposure to senior-level professionals and clients within a team of small transaction groups.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with top academic performance
- Minimum one to two years of investment banking or restructuring experience
- Strong interest in M&A, debt and equity capital markets, special situations, and restructuring
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with experience in financial modeling and financial statement analysis, including the development of three-statement financial models and 13-week cash flow models
- Self-directed, highly motivated, able to learn and work independently in a fast-paced, challenging environment and manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated team player and leader with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
- SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses required at time of hiring or expected to be obtained shortly thereafter
- Full-time position based in Chicago, IL
- Hybrid role, consisting of both in-office and remote work
- Immediate start date
- Travel will be required at times
