Job Summary
The Financial Advisor Intern at RBC will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients by delivering proactive, professional advice and collaborating with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals and life events. You will communicate with clients to understand their needs, address complex credit and investment needs, collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking, leverage technology to enhance the client experience and drive sales and retention, take ownership of resolving and preventing banking problems, implement relationship-building strategies, support new client acquisition in the local community, and educate clients on RBC features and benefits including digital banking across mobile, ATM, and online channels.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
- Certificate in Financial Services Advice, offered through the CSI (Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I)
- 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments
- Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops)
