Job Summary
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes while overseeing accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports. Lead accounting staff and ensure compliance with statutory practices, policies, and audit requirements through quality assurance and documentation management. Evaluate variances, streamline general ledger and billing systems, and resolve escalated operational issues. Liaise with external auditors and banks to fulfill requests and manage budgeting for future revenues and expenses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience
- 5 to 7 years of statutory accounting experience
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains desirable
- Exposure to insurance systems and knowledge of insurance preferred
