Job Summary
Financial Accountant role within ING Bank N.V. Hungarian Branch (Budapest) focusing on end-to-end invoicing, cost management, GL entries, supplier master data, employee expense settlements, fixed assets, daily FX reporting, monthly closing, and support for interim/year-end audits. Build accurate financial information for local management, auditors, and external authorities; coordinate invoice processing and related system tasks; ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations; collaborate with verifiers, management, auditors, and other departments. Requires certified accountant qualification and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 1–2 years of accounting/finance experience; proficient in MS Office and accounting systems (e.g., Exact Globe); strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive, accountable mindset. Hybrid work model with about 50% in the Budapest office and 50% home-office flexibility; opportunities for professional development and a supportive, collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Certified accountant qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (College or University level)
- 1–2 years’ experience in accounting or finance within a financial institution or multinational corporate
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting systems (e.g., Exact Globe)
- Intermediate level of written and spoken English
