Financial Accounting Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct daily balancing and reconciliation of financial transactions, record entries to the General Ledger, and prepare account reconciliations. Support month-end close activities, review accounting entries, and collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve incidents and analyze financial data. Maintain process documentation, respond to queries regarding accounting policies, and develop reports for management decision-making. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, assisting in the preparation of financial statements as needed. This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-4 years of experience in a finance role
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, reporting, and analysis
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret financial data accurately
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across teams
- Confidence in learning and embracing innovative technologies to improve processes
- Experience with Workday
