Job Summary
Coordinate UK statutory accounting, direct and indirect tax returns, and treasury processes including cash forecasting and hedging oversight. Manage month-end close activities with the Global Capability Centre, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group policies while addressing complex judgement-based matters. Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and maintain the local tax risk matrix through regular stakeholder reviews. Provide Middle Office services for gas and FX hedging and oversee biodiversity net gain and UKETS reporting. This role requires a fully qualified accountant with 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of UK Corporation Tax and VAT. The position involves extensive interaction with remote GCC team members across different time zones and requires confidence engaging with directors and external auditors. Hybrid working up to 40% is available after a 3-month full-time office period.
Required Qualifications
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience
- Good working knowledge of UK Corporation Tax
- Good working knowledge of UK/EU VAT
- Experience of drafting UK statutory accounts
- Good working knowledge of IFRS
