Job Summary
Ensure all month end accounting entries and reconciliations are completed in line with timetable to facilitate a timely general ledger close. Manage daily and month end processes for Third Party forward flow portfolios, including loan balances, interest income recognition, and EIR accounting. Act as subject matter expert for internal and external change, leading implementation of new forward flow portfolios and driving the Financial Control process improvement agenda. Support internal and external audit processes by preparing financial documentation and responding to inquiries while ensuring transactions comply with internal policies and accounting standards. This Financial Accountant role supports the Bank's SME franchise, providing technical support for new products and acquisitions. The position involves maintaining strong relationships with business, operations, and finance teams while utilizing the SUN general ledger system and Blackline.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified with a professional body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc
- Experience of working in the Financial Services sector
- Team player
- Experience of using SUN general ledger system (or equivalent) and Blackline
- Reconciliations experience
- Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic 'can do' attitude
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
