Job Summary
Intermediate Financial Accountant to join a global finance team supporting APAC entities. Responsibilities include preparing month-end journals (accruals, payroll, fixed assets), payroll journals, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting monthly reporting for APAC, assisting with year-end audits, liaising with external advisors, reviewing outputs from multiple entities, delivering bi-weekly cash flow projections, intercompany reconciliations, FX remeasurements, monitoring tax filings, and contributing to process improvements. The role emphasizes using AI tools to automate close processes and collaborating with AP/AR/FP&A teams; experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365, NetSuite) and working in multi-entity, multi-currency environments is valued; preferred locations include Toronto, Canada or Sydney, Australia with remote work.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years in accounting roles, with experience supporting financial reporting and audits under ASPE and/or IFRS
- Experience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional, or multi-currency environment
- Experience in a publicly listed company environment is an asset
- Exposure to working with external accountants, auditors, or tax advisors
- Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or equivalent
- Background in SaaS, professional services, or global B2B organizations is an asset
- Strong Excel skills, reconciliations, data analysis, and report preparation
- High attention to detail and organized workflow
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Team-oriented and proactive mindset
