Job Summary
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and AASB standards. Support month-end close activities by recording journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments while performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Monitor close deadlines to ensure efficient reporting cycles and provide variance analysis commentary on financial performance. Submit BAS and IAS returns, calculate payroll tax, and maintain general ledger integrity. Collaborate with FP&A and operational teams to improve accounting processes and support finance transformation initiatives. Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP principles
- Excellent understanding of month-end close processes and reporting cycles
- Solid experience in balance sheet reconciliations and investigating reconciling items
- Experience supporting statutory and tax compliance activities, including BAS, IAS, and payroll tax
- Strong general ledger, internal controls, and financial reporting capability
- Ability to analyse financial results, identify variances, and provide clear commentary
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficiencies and support transformation initiatives
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to accuracy
- Collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively across finance and operational teams
