Job Summary
Prepare and post recurring Canada payroll, accrual, reclass, and statutory tax journal entries for CO_1000 and CO_1020 entities. Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for 13 payroll-related general ledger accounts and manage the monthly SAP vs. BlackLine reconciliation. Administer BlackLine system access, configure workflows, and prepare ITGC audit documentation. This role supports the India Finance Shared Services Center within Bio-Rad's global life science operations, ensuring timely execution of general ledger activities under US GAAP.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant or CPA or CMA
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in payroll accounting, general ledger accounting, or reconciliations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Finance Shared Services experience in a large multinational company with a high-volume, performance-driven environment preferred
- Large ERP system experience — SAP preferred
- Experience with BlackLine required
- Prior exposure to Canadian payroll and statutory tax filings is an advantage
- Strong working knowledge of the BlackLine reconciliation platform, including system administration, user access provisioning, and workflow configuration
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting, including payroll accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Working exposure to Canadian payroll, tax, and statutory reporting requirements, including CRA, Quebec sales tax, and Employer Health Tax
- Strong working knowledge of SAP or an equivalent ERP system for journal entry preparation and posting
- Fluent (both orally and in writing) in English
