Job Summary
Financial Accountant role at a manufacturing-focused, sustainability-driven medical device remanufacturing facility. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records (general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close), tracking remanufacturing costs (labor, materials, overhead, waste), budgeting/forecasting with operations teams, ensuring IFRS/GAAP compliance and internal controls, handling fixed asset accounting and inventory valuation, and reporting for internal stakeholders and external auditors. The role supports audits, regulatory inspections, and opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial workflows, with involvement in ad hoc projects. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 5+ years in financial accounting, CPA or equivalent preferred, and strong cost accounting and ERP skills (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite). Experience in medical device or healthcare manufacturing and familiarity with ISO 13485 or FDA/TGA financial compliance are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent professional certification (or working toward certification) preferred
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated industry
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare manufacturing
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 13485 or FDA/TGA compliance (financial aspects)
