Job Summary
Financial Accountant to report to the Senior Finance Manager. The role focuses on financial processes and reporting for the group, involving month-end close (journal preparation and posting, TB review), financial statements and dashboard reporting, board reporting, reconciliations, regulatory submissions, forecasting, accounting policy updates, and collaboration with Treasury, FP&A, Tax and Cash Operations to improve standardised group-level reporting. Responsibilities include liaising with external auditors, assisting annual audits, improving reporting, and supporting internal stakeholders in process improvements. Requires CA/CPA accreditation (completed/partially completed) and strong technical accounting knowledge relevant to Australian GAAP/IFRS, with experience in banking/financial services and ERP systems (Sage Intacct). The role offers a hybrid work arrangement between home and office in Macquarie Park, NSW, Australia.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting with CA or CPA accreditation completed/partially completed
- Technical accounting skills with Australian GAAP and IFRS (AASB/IFRS)
- Experience with Statutory reporting (ASIC) and Regulatory reporting (APRA)
- Experience in preparing and reporting Group consolidated accounts and Listed Group reporting would be highly valued
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills, especially written, with ability to prepare Board packs
