Finance Trainee (UAE Nationals Only)

Job Summary
Support day-to-day finance activities across assigned departments, including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and reporting. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation while assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. Prepare financial reports and analysis to support business performance monitoring, and collaborate with local, regional, and global stakeholders. Participate in finance projects, improvement initiatives, and ad hoc tasks to identify process efficiencies. Gain exposure to three rotations covering Maritime, Energy Systems, and Global Shared Services Finance, utilizing systems such as Oracle, Salesforce, and Power BI.
Required Qualifications
- UAE Nationals
- Understanding of financial processes supporting Maritime operations
- Supporting invoicing and accounts receivable activities
- Assisting with customer account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
- Supporting advance invoicing and prepayment processes
- Coordinating with operations, Key Account Managers, surveyors, invoicing teams and customers
- Supporting customer follow-up and collection activities
- Preparing and analysing financial information and ageing reports
- Supporting financial administration, reporting and analysis
- Assisting with invoicing, reconciliations and financial follow-up
- Supporting project and business-related financial activities
- Working with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand financial requirements
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Supporting reporting and analysis to help monitor business performance
- Developing an understanding of financial processes within a project and service-oriented business environment
- Participating in process improvement initiatives
- Supporting regional and global finance processes
- Gaining exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting and other relevant finance activities
- Supporting financial reporting, reconciliations and data analysis
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Working with finance systems and digital tools used across DNV
- Supporting internal controls, compliance and audit activities
- Collaborating with finance colleagues across different countries and functions
- Identifying opportunities for process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement
