Job Summary
Finance Technician to join Zurich’s Finance Improvement Project Team on a 12-month fixed term contract in Douglas, Isle of Man. You’ll review existing manual finance processes to identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve efficiency; contribute to reconciliation remediation efforts; collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to deliver process improvements; assist Workstream Leads and Project Managers with testing, implementation, and training activities; and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels while communicating insights clearly and confidently.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a finance team
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in process improvement and control design within finance (e.g. strengthening controls, standardising processes, supporting automation)
- Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of finance processes and systems
- Proven experience completing financial reconciliations
- Experience in a change-focused environment would be beneficial
- Insurance industry knowledge would be an advantage
