Job Summary
Finance Assistant supports day-to-day implementation of NRC financial procedures, ensuring adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements. Responsibilities include daily bookkeeping in NRC Agresso, managing petty cash, assisting in monthly accounting closings and financial reporting, preparing and verifying payments, recording cash movements, coordinating with Logistics on Purchase Requests/Orders, ensuring transactions are properly authorized and documented, and maintaining regulatory compliance and documentation. The role emphasizes accuracy, donor compliance, and collaboration across departments in a humanitarian context.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a finance position
- University degree in accounting, finance or equivalent is preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Agresso)
- English proficiency A2 or higher (basic)
