Job Summary
Analyze and communicate financial results to upper-level management while developing budget reports, earned value analyses, and project profit projections. Train and grow a team of finance professionals, earning their trust to foster cohesion between operations and executive leadership. Review project cash flows, contract terms, and change orders for financial risks, and assist project managers in developing procedures and tracking change orders. Drive continuous improvement across the organization using data for risk analysis and benchmarking. Based in Itasca, IL, with onsite M-F hours and up to 25% travel to project sites in wide-ranging climates.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of financial/data analysis or public accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree
- Proven track record of successfully developing or managing a team
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication (both oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities
- High level of professionalism and standards
- Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
- Travel may be required for this position (up to 25%)
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- Perform work safely and effectively
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Work overtime and weekends as required
