- Understanding of finance, ideally with experience covering or working closely with CFOs, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, treasury, payments, capital allocation, or businesses that sell to finance teams
- Data literacy to use AI and trusted data to explore questions, find sharp metrics, and turn them into stories or headline-making charts
- Ability to write in someone else's voice, preserving a leader's point of view, rhythm, and convictions while making the work sharper
- Ability to move without a perfect brief, taking rough notes and turning them into something strong
- AI-native mindset with personal judgement, using AI to reduce busywork and explore angles but not offloading brain work to an LLM
- Location in New York City with a desire to work closely with a team in person
