Job Summary
Finance Specialist - Procurement responsible for overseeing district-wide purchases of supplies, materials, furniture, equipment, and services; prepares bid documents and procurement paperwork; maintains purchasing data and records; researches contracts and products, Enter requisitions, distributes purchase orders, maintains vendor details, and supports audit and reporting processes; designs and conducts procurement training for staff; handles invoice/receipts processing, debt and asset management, and related administrative duties under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three years of recent, progressively responsible experience in public school district purchasing
- Experience in cost estimating or accounting preferred
- Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of Visions, QuickBooks, and AZPurchasing.com helpful but not required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
