Job Summary
Senior Accountant to lead month-end close, maintain General Ledger and balance sheet integrity in a high-volume retail/e-commerce environment. Own journal entries, reconciliations, A/P and cash management, budgeting/forecasting, and GAAP/compliance. Collaborate with FP&A, IT, inventory, and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, automation, and system integrations (Microsoft Dynamics, POS, e-commerce). Provide analytical insights and on-demand reporting to business leaders; requires CPA designation in progress or completed and 5+ years Canadian experience in month-end close and financial reporting within retail/e-commerce; hybrid work with 3 days onsite in Toronto.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA designation completed or in progress
- Minimum 5 years of Canadian experience in month end close and financial reporting within a retail or e-commerce environment, including inventory accounting, management reporting and audit
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills
- Strong data and systems capability, including experience with process mapping, automation tools, and cross-platform integration (ERP, POS, e-commerce, payment processors)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
