Job Summary
Finance Principal Analyst role supporting Nordson’s Commercial Finance & Strategy through analytical finance work across variance analysis, reporting, and pricing. Responsible for analyzing production, price, material, scrap, and labor/burden variances; developing PowerBI reports for monthly reporting, forecasting, and ad-hoc requests; explaining financial results against budgets and forecasts; preparing consolidated management reports; automating reports and analytics in PowerBI and Excel; tracking sales performance and revenue recognition calculations; assisting with SAP/IFS/JDE data gathering; supporting pricing for new products and tariff/cost changes; collaborating with Operations, customer teams, and HR to enable financial insight and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance, 8+ years related experience and/or training
- Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers or others in the organization
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle concrete variables with limited standardization
- Preferred: Advanced PowerBI report writing skills, strong Excel skills, strong communication and organizational skills
