Job Summary
Support budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and month-end stewardship activities while partnering with stakeholders to understand key business drivers and risks. Analyze financial performance to provide insights for decision-making, prepare reporting and commentary for reviews, and develop dashboards to enhance transparency. Identify process improvements for continuous improvement and deliver ad hoc analysis for strategic initiatives. This office-based role in Calgary requires a 40-hour week and prioritizes accuracy in managing multiple priorities. You will build strong partnerships with Finance and D&IT teams to turn data into meaningful insights that support key business decisions across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in finance, planning, accounting, business analytics, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- CPA designation (or progress toward designation)
- Location: office-based role located in our Calgary office, Suncor Energy Centre, 150 - 6th Avenue S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, SAC-P, or similar systems is considered an asset
