Job Summary
Finance Operations Analyst/Associate responsible for owning the company’s core finance operations, including billing, invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash movement, reconciliations, and financial controls. Build the financial infrastructure that supports rapid growth, including workflows, policies, and automation across the back office. Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, product, and operations to ensure accurate financial data, reliable monthly close inputs, and operational reporting. This role offers the rare opportunity to be the first finance operations hire and shape the finance function from the ground up. Ideal candidates have startup/fast-paced finance operations experience, a systems-focused mindset, and the ability to design scalable processes that turn ambiguity into clear, structured finance workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Owned or built finance operations at a startup, portfolio company, or similarly fast-paced environment (billing, AR/AP, reconciliations, cash ops)
- Gone beyond transactional work, partnering with GTM, product, or ops teams to solve operational problems
- Comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations and coordinating with outsourced providers
- Implemented or maintained finance systems (ERP, billing tools, expense systems, AP/AR platforms) and improved existing workflows
- Strong modeling skills and ability to translate data into decisions
- Bonus if experience in tech/startup or entrepreneurial background
- Extra credit for automation projects, system integrations, or financial process redesign
