Job Summary
Lead and develop the accounting team while overseeing day-to-day operations across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, treasury, and fixed assets. Prepare monthly financial results, manage statutory reporting including external audits and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and partner with the Finance Director on budgeting and cash flow. Drive process improvements, ERP implementations, and automation initiatives to strengthen controls and efficiency. Act as the primary escalation point for technical accounting matters and deputise for the Finance Director when required. This role supports Ezypay's growth within Xplor Technologies' global payments division in Kuala Lumpur.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)
- At least 10 years' experience in accounting and finance, including several years leading high-performing accounting teams
- Proven experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, including statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audits
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls and audit requirements
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP or similar
- Advanced Excel skills
- A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to influence stakeholders, drive change and make sound commercial decisions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Experience working in a multinational, fintech, technology or high-growth environment
- Experience with financial reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, OneStream or similar)
