Finance Manager

Job Summary

Coordinate daily accounting operations, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly revenue reconciliations, while supervising finance and payroll staff. Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial statements for leadership, ensuring compliance with funder agreements and legislative requirements. Monitor variances against budgets, support strategic planning, and facilitate monthly team meetings. This hybrid role reports to the CFO and requires a post-secondary degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA designation and 5+ years of experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • CPA designation or close to completion
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance
  • 2+ years in a not-for-profit, healthcare, or public sector environment
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting & variance analysis, budgets and forecasts, and general ledger account maintenance
  • Experience with Ontario Health and Ministry of Health funding and OHRS Guidelines and reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Great Plains, FRxReporter, and ADP WorkforceNow
  • Advanced excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, data validation)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where there are multiple, changing priorities
  • This is a hybrid position requiring at least two days per week in the Brampton office based on workload requirements that is subject to change based on operational needs
  • As a condition of employment, new WellFort staff must be fully compliant with our Vaccination Policy unless they have received an exemption from vaccination under the Ontario Human Rights Code

Desired Qualifications

  • Supervision or leadership experience
  • Experience with payroll legislation, benefit administration and HOOPP
