Job Summary
Finance Manager in the Village of Itasca overseeing day-to-day finance operations within the Administration Department, supervising staff, and handling accounts payable/receivable, cashiering, utility billing, and payroll in cooperation with Human Resources. Responsible for assisting the Finance Director with annual tax levy, capital improvement plan, IT plan, budget, appropriations ordinance, monthly financial reports, audits, grant reporting, and ERP implementation/troubleshooting. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance/public administration (Master’s and/or CPA preferred), 5+ years of finance experience with 2+ years in supervisory capacity, GAAP proficiency, ERP/Microsoft 365 skills, and Illinois driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible finance experience including 2 years in a supervisory/management capacity.
- Knowledge of GAAP and practical application.
- Proficiency in financial ERP systems and Microsoft 365.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Illinois driver's license.
