Job Summary
Lead global commercial financial planning and forecasting processes, ensuring timely and accurate business inputs. Consolidate planning materials to deliver executive-ready financial summaries for senior stakeholders while guiding business units through planning cycles, including timelines, guidance, assumption validation, and result consolidation. Partner cross-functionally with finance, corporate, legal, R&D, operations, and global teams to align efforts, perform system tie-outs for data integrity, and analyze performance against benchmarks to highlight risks and opportunities. Prepare clear, actionable planning materials and presentations for leadership review while managing and developing team members. Requires 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong SAP and Power BI proficiency, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. This role supports AbbVie's Global Latest Best Estimates (LBE) planning process within the Commercial Controllership Organization.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years progressive accounting or finance experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of AbbVie financial planning processes
- Solid understanding of automated accounting systems such SAP and BPC
- Ability to solve business problems through the proactive identification of issues and subsequent collection, analysis, and interpretation of related data
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA
- Skillful with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working independently as well as team environments and integrating activities across multiple functions / divisions
- Ability to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
