Job Summary
Support financial performance of armed guard and detention contracts through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly close activities. Monitor labor costs, fringe, and indirect allocations against burn rates to ensure profitability compliance and early risk identification. Partner with program managers to track staffing levels, labor utilization, and operational KPIs including billable hours and fill rates. Analyze key financial and operational drivers to provide actionable recommendations on revenue, margin, and risk. Assist in invoice reviews, audit readiness, and coordination with compliance, tax, and risk functions. Translate financial data into operational insights for leadership and contribute to pricing support and standardized reporting tools. Provide regular financial and operational updates to the Vice President of Finance and operational teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or operations within a federal government contracting environment
- Experience with federal contracting requirements, including FAR and service contract compliance
- Experience supporting labor-based contracts with an understanding of staffing, billing, and cost structures
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including finance, HR, and operations
- Ability to translate financial data into operational insights for non-financial stakeholders
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must have acceptable background check results
- Must obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required
- Must be able to obtain access to military installations
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with EPM systems (e.g., OneStream preferred)
- Familiarity with Service Contract Act (SCA), wage determinations, and labor compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements and Union Reporting
- Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed operations
- Familiarity with Alaska Native Corporations
