Job Summary
Oversee financial performance, P&L, and budgeting for assigned departments, preparing monthly reports and conducting variance analysis. Manage post-award grants, gifts, and fellowships, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while monitoring expenses and subcontract management. Lead annual budgeting and long-range planning processes, aligning financial needs with organizational resources and strategic priorities. Act as the financial liaison for PIs and leadership, resolving funding shortages and implementing changes to maintain balanced accounts. Champion a culture of excellence in financial reporting, promoting the adoption of automation tools and leading practices within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Administration or related field
- minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in an academic medical center
- thorough understanding of the management of an academic clinical department including the management of a physician group practice
- Excellent communication skills
- able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
