Job Summary
Own monthly management accounts, drive cost and margin analysis across DTC and wholesale channels, and oversee inventory accounting. Coordinate month-end close with the internal finance team and manage stock reconciliation to ensure accurate financial system records. Serve as the primary financial partner for non-finance colleagues, providing sense-checks on decisions ranging from marketing spend to new product lines. Identify process improvements to reduce manual effort and focus on value-adding activities. This role sits alongside the Financial Controller, who owns systems and compliance, allowing you to focus on management information. You will work within a small, fast-moving footwear brand that blends performance innovation with lifestyle aesthetics, seeking a commercially sharp management accountant to help craft a lasting legacy.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified
- Experience of owning the Management Accounts process, from production to presentation
- Solid inventory/stock accounting experience
- Comfortable working with NetSuite or equivalent ERP as a key user
- Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on in a small, fast-moving team
- Commercially minded - connecting financial insight to real business outcomes
- A self-starter who takes ownership without needing to be chased
- A relationship builder - if you don't know the answer to something, you'll quickly learn who does, and build the kind of relationship that means they're happy to give it to you
- Inquisitive - you want to understand the 'why?' and aren't afraid to push back
- A clear communicator with non-finance stakeholders, able to quickly digest data and ideas and simplify them for others

Desired Qualifications
- CIMA preferred, ACCA or ACA considered
- Background in consumer product, retail, sportswear, or footwear
