Job Summary
Direct accounting and financial operations for MFM and its associated entities, ensuring rigorous quality control over transactions and reports while delivering strategic financial counsel to leadership. Oversee banking, cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, loan administration, month-end and year-end processes, external audits, asset and insurance management, and payroll systems. Lead and develop the finance and administration team through coaching and mentoring to consistently meet deadlines and maintain high standards. Collaborate closely with the CFO, Directors, General Managers, operational leaders, and external partners including banks and auditors. This hands-on leadership role sits at the heart of a growing macadamia business in the Bundaberg region, offering flexible start and finish times.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Chartered Accountant or CPA
- At least 5 years' experience in a Finance Manager role
- Strong experience with budgets
- Strong experience with cash flow
- Strong experience with ERP systems
- Strong experience with advanced Excel
- Strong experience with Power BI
- Knowledge of Australian accounting standards
- Knowledge of payroll
- Knowledge of Award interpretation
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a small-to-medium team
- Commercial judgement
