Job Summary
Finance Manager – Leases responsible for leading lease accounting operations, supervising a shared services team, ensuring IFRS 16 compliance, and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting across a large lease portfolio. Significantly focuses on overseeing lease creation, amendments, renewals, and terminations in SAP RE-FX, maintaining lease master data integrity, leading month-end close, analyzing results, and driving automation and process improvements. Partners with Finance, Property, Network, Procurement, and external landlords, provides technical guidance on lease accounting, and supports governance, controls, and ad hoc analysis to drive operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification (completed or in progress) is an advantage
- Approximately 5–6 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, preferably in lease accounting or a shared services environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS 16 and lease accounting principles
- Experience with SAP RE-FX or similar ERP systems
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving process optimisation and automation
