Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations across the Group, ensuring accurate month-end and year-end closings while managing complex multi-company consolidations and inter-company reconciliations. Prepare financial statements adhering to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), supervise corporate treasury and cash flow management, and formulate annual budgets and rolling forecasts to drive strategic decision-making. Lead coordination for external and statutory audits, establish internal control frameworks, and mentor the finance team to maintain high-performance standards. Provide commercial financial insights to senior management and champion ERP enhancements for reporting agility. Fluency in Mandarin is required, with a minimum of 5–8 years of progressive finance experience in the rubber trading industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification status (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, inclusive of strong managerial/team leadership background
- Fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written)
- Proven experience with group consolidation, complex inter-company reconciliations, and managing multi-currency accounting environments
- Well-versed in financial planning, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Highly resourceful, analytical, and adaptive mindset with the ability to manage competing deadlines under pressure with high attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience in the trading or commodity industry (ideally within rubber trading)
- Familiarity with inventory accounting, import/export documentation, trade finance instruments (e.g., Letter of Credit, Documents Against Payment), customs procedures, and indirect taxation (SST/GST/VAT)
- Experience operating ERP systems or specialized accounting software
- Knowledge of SQL
