Job Summary
Finance Manager / Head of Finance role based in Hamburg, Germany, leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning; overseeing monthly/quarterly/annual closings, KPI dashboards, and management reporting; driving profitability analysis across clients and projects; managing cash flow, treasury coordination, and financing relationships; supporting M&A activities, due diligence, and post-merger integration; acting as a sparring partner to Managing Directors and department heads to translate financial data into actionable business insights; requires a university degree in finance/economics/business and strong analytic/communication skills; role offers high visibility and potential path toward CFO-level opportunities; remote/hybrid work option is indicated as part of the compensation/locations context.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of relevant professional experience in finance, controlling, transaction services, corporate finance, private equity, consulting, or a comparable environment
- Experience in a Finance Manager, Head of Finance, Controlling, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, or similar role
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and reporting capabilities
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Experience in a project-based business, professional services environment, agency, technology company, or PE-backed company is highly desirable
- Exposure to M&A, due diligence, integrations, or value creation initiatives is a strong plus
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
