Job Summary
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager leads accounting operations, the financial close process, and the internal control environment across Forsite group of companies. This role is hands-on and strategic, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and serving as a trusted partner to executive leadership. Responsibilities include leading monthly/quarterly/annual close with consolidation across multiple legal entities; delivering internal management reporting packages for executive leadership; overseeing general ledger activities (journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transactions); ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards, CRA obligations, and internal policies; managing GST/HST and PST filings and corporate tax support; designing and maintaining internal controls, governance documentation, and audit readiness; partnering with the CFO and business unit leaders on budgeting and forecasting; supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and systems (NetSuite ERP); and occasional travel within Canada and the US.
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA designation
- Progressive experience in financial reporting and controllership
- Demonstrated experience managing a financial close process in a multi-entity environment
- Solid working knowledge of Canadian tax compliance (GST/HST, PST, corporate tax)
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems
