Job Summary
Finance leadership role responsible for providing financial and operational support across FHI 360 projects in Maputo, ensuring organizational policies, donor requirements, and internal controls are followed. Key duties include leading finance, administration, and procurement activities; timely, accurate financial reporting to FHI 360 and donors; monthly close with documentation reconciliation; management of advances and reimbursements; pipeline analyses for monitoring spend; supervising procurement requests; developing SOPs and tools to improve office management; coordinating logistics support; and presenting management reports on operational effectiveness of service providers. Requires university degree in Administration/Finance or related field, extensive donor-funded program experience, strong knowledge of US regulations, and Portuguese and English fluency.
Required Qualifications
- Grau de universitário em Administração e Finanças (Bachelor's degree in Administration and Finance, Contabilidade or related)
- Experience: 5-8 years in program/operations management with at least 3 years in supervision
- Strong knowledge of US government financial regulations and donor rules
- Experience ensuring compliance with Mozambican laws
- Experience managing financial and operational aspects of a donor-funded subgrant program (7+ years) including a complex, large-scale program
- Experience establishing and managing financial management systems and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel; ability to learn other applications
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
