Job Summary
Lead the Mexico Centre of Excellence reporting to the Group Financial Controller, overseeing transactional finance operations across the USA and Mexico. Manage a two-person team for Accounts Payable and Cashbook, ensuring accurate invoice processing, compliant payment runs, and timely balance sheet reconciliations. Own payroll accounting, statutory reporting, and tax compliance for the Mexico legal entity, including filing income tax returns and VAT claims while liaising with external advisors. Implement and monitor group standardised processes and internal controls across all transactional activities. This role requires strong people management experience, proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, and fluency in Spanish and English. The position is based in Mexico City with hybrid work options.
Required Qualifications
- Strong people management experience, with a track record of developing junior team members
- Proven experience managing transactional finance processes (AP, payments, cashbook)
- Good understanding of indirect tax and corporate income tax compliance
- Fluent in Spanish and English
Desired Qualifications
- Qualified accountant preferred (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CPA or local equivalent such as Contador Público)
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
