Job Summary
Finance Manager to oversee nonprofit organization's finance operations, payroll, AP/AR, GL, budgeting and forecasting, audits, and compliance, ensuring GAAP adherence and accurate reporting for leadership and the board. Will supervise finance staff, strengthen internal controls, and provide analytical insights for strategic planning; in-person role based out of the Richmond District, San Francisco.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience in non-profit accounting
- 8+ years of progressive experience related to financial functions
- 6+ years in managerial or supervisory role in non-profit Finance/Accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong spreadsheets skills
- Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT a plus
- Ability to analyze and handle complex operational and financial situations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, program managers, and external stakeholders
- Understanding of federal, state, and local compliance requirements related to nonprofit accounting and grant management
