Finance Manager - Assets & Maintenance

Job Summary
Lead financial analysis of maintenance expenditure across the mobile equipment fleet, quantifying equipment availability, utilization, and reliability impacts. Develop and maintain asset life financial models to support repair, rebuild, and replacement decisions while integrating maintenance plans into annual budgets and long-term forecasts. Provide commercial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, including business cases for equipment acquisition and major maintenance events. Partner closely with Maintenance and Asset Management teams to deliver forward-looking insights that drive better fleet and investment decisions. This role reports to the Group Manager Finance – Mining Services within Northern Star Surface Mining's newly established surface mining division in Subiaco.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
- Significant experience in commercial finance, FP&A, business analysis or a related discipline within mining, resources or another asset-intensive environment
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting and scenario-analysis capability
- Demonstrated experience translating operational and maintenance data into financial insights
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to work across large, complex datasets and BI platforms such as Power BI
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence and constructively challenge operational and senior leaders
