Job Summary
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Develop, monitor, and manage the school's annual operating budget while performing monthly bank reconciliations and overseeing accounts payable and receivable. Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for leadership and the Board, and assist with annual financial audits. Monitor cash flow, analyze financial data for strategic decision-making, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and charter school reporting requirements. This role supports the school's mission through effective stewardship of financial resources, requiring a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and three to five years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible accounting or financial management experience
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or Master's degree
- Experience in K-12 education, charter schools, nonprofit organizations, or governmental accounting
