Job Summary
Support ABB's worldwide buy- and sell-side financial due diligence activities by identifying risks in potential M&A transactions and preparing adjusted historic financials. Conduct initial target assessment, execute closing accounts reviews for purchase price finalization, and assist with US GAAP acquisition and divestment accounting and reporting. Prepare pro forma financials to demonstrate acquisition impacts and perform necessary controls within ABB's internal control framework. Develop accounting-related policies and directives for business combinations and divestments. This remote role requires a financial expert with 2-4 years of due diligence experience, US GAAP knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure in a multinational environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2-4 years of experience in Financial Due Diligence acquired at reputable accounting firm (or equivalent), which preferably operates globally
- US GAAP (or IFRS) knowledge
- Very good communication, project management and analytical skills
- Able and willing to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and in a multinational and multicultural environment
- You are at ease communicating in English – both written and spoken
- You are willing to work flexible hours and global travel ability
