Job Summary
Manage business-critical projects from start to finish, including improving customer service, influencing pricing strategies, automating internal processes, and optimizing cost structures. Gain broad exposure to finance areas such as Financial Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Audit, and Financial Planning and Analysis while leveraging AI tools and digital workflows for continuous improvement. Utilize technical skills in visualization tools like Power BI, SQL, and SAP ERP to enhance existing R or Python skillsets and create ad-hoc databases for financial modeling. Participate in a structured development program featuring onboarding, executive meet-and-greets, peer mentorship, and social events, reporting to a Finance/Accounting leader. This 10-week, full-time program serves as a primary feeder into Grainger's Financial Development Program, offering students practical experience in corporate finance through real-world work.
Required Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028
- Currently enrolled in a college or university and working towards either: a bachelor's degree or a master's degree in a business or STEM-related discipline
- No visa sponsorships required now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Analytical skills, including an ability to summarize data into insights, reach logical conclusions, evaluate and improve processes
- Knowledge of database structures and ability to create ad-hoc databases for financial modeling
- Familiar with and comfortable learning and utilizing various digital and/or software
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment through agile methodology
- Working knowledge and experience with AI tools
- Knowledge of Excel
