Job Summary
Maintain financial reports and invoicing databases while generating reports per team requirements. Assist with accounting for donor receipts and interest accrued on donor funds within the SAP ERP system. Gather supporting documents for transactions, coordinate with regional offices for project financial audits, and ensure printed copies are dispatched to donors and external auditors. Prepare draft transaction listings, financial and accrual reports, and schedules for the project closing provision account. Complete ad hoc work assigned by team members and contribute to continuous system improvements. Internship includes a monthly stipend, runs for six months with possible extension, and is open to Sri Lankan students with relevant accounting qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Registered or part-qualified students with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) / Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) / Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) / Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Undergraduates or fresh graduates with a bachelor's degree in Commerce / Business Administration / Finance/Accounting
- Excellent command of the English language (written and oral)
- Ability to comprehend complex written material
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (specifically Excel and Word)
- Strong self-motivation while being a team player
- Integrity is of utmost importance
