Job Summary
The Finance and Grants Specialist role focuses on processing daily financial tasks, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with grant administration. The successful candidate will handle vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports related to financial and grant-related activities. Qualifications include an Associate Degree, at least two years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, and proficiency in Excel and Sage software. Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential, along with effective communication abilities. CPR/First Aid certification and previous experience in a non-profit setting are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree, two or more years of accounting or finance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
- Working experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, & G/L
- Proficiency with Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Sage Software experience is desired.
- Sage Intacct knowledge desired.
Additional Requirements
- Must submit to and pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Department of Children & Families.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Consistent and reliable transportation is required for this position.
