Finance & Grant Specialist – MI-SBDC (Temporary Hourly)

Job Summary

Conduct financial reporting, grant application coordination, and contract management for the Director of Finance and Grants. Process invoices, monitor purchase orders, and track project expenditures while ensuring compliance with federal and state grant requirements. Reconcile monthly grant information, assist with audits, and provide monthly financial forecasting to support decision-making. Coordinate grant activities across 10 regional offices and manage sub-recipient monitoring functions. Submit timely monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Federal and/or State grants management experience
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in working within the field of business accounting and/or grants and/or finance
  • Experience in developing and delivering management reports
  • Excellent oral and/or written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong experience in financial management in environments using spreadsheet and database applications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or commensurate experience
  • Must have the physical stamina to work long hours and/or more than 5 days per week
